Tiny House – Big Space
When you live in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, there’s no shortage of people who want to come visit. However, our house simply didn’t have the room for overnight guests, so we decided to convert our 16 x 24 Tuff-Shed into 350 square feet of cozy accommodations.
The Shed features two queen beds, a fold-down sofa, a fireplace for the chilly nights, a TV with a DVD player, as well as a desk and coffee machine. Everything else you need is only 10 paces away in the main house including two restrooms and showers, the kitchen, living space, and of course, Vikings Loft Lounge. These accommodations provide all the conveniences of home… our home.
The kitchen is the heart of our home and we are almost always in it. Feel free to come in and join us for breakfast each morning. Obviously, we encourage you to get out and explore the area communities, we want to support our fellow Teller County businesses as well. We can make some recommendations for some spectacular restaurants for lunch and dinner!
The Living Area
Our living space is open and comfortable with bright, sunny views all around our property and is a perfect place to watch the deer wander through the yard. You won’t find a TV here, the focus is face to face communication without distraction. Surrounded by a wrap around deck, feel free to go out to sit and watch birds or feed the chipmunks. We have identified nearly 40 different species of birds right in our own backyard.
The Viking Loft
My husband is a lifelong Minnesota Viking fan. Now that we live in the mountains of Colorado, we might not be able to make it to all the games like we used to, but his loyalty runs deep. The upstairs loft of our home is dedicated to 40 years of collecting sports memorabilia, 16 years of Season Ticket Holder memories, and a lifetime bleeding purple and gold. We invite you to look around and enjoy. Not a Viking fan? That’s ok, we love all sports fans, come stay anyway!
