Come visit Etter’s SKOL Ranch
and stay in our tiny cabin.
We live in the heart of our playground, and we would love to share it with you! Visit us in Teller County, Colorado, where we are right in the center of state and surrounded by Rocky Mountain beauty. A short hike to the top of our property unveils breathtaking views of Pikes Peak to the east and rolling hills for miles.
When you stay at a Hilton, you help a millionaire get wealthier. When you stay with us at SKOL Ranch, your money goes towards paying our utilities and putting food on our table… we truly appreciate our guests! Our goal is for you to have a great vacation with all the comforts of home, or at least a good friend’s house. Don’t worry about dishes or clean up – let us do the dirty work, so you can just enjoy your time.
We are remote. Cellular signal is rare commodity here, so plan for that rare moment of silence when your phone doesn’t beep, buzz, or ring. Imagine an entire weekend where you can simply tell your boss, “Sorry, I was out of range.” Remember a time before we all became bionic, put down your phone and remember how to be human again.
Just because we are secluded, doesn’t mean we don’t have all the amenities you need, as well as, a broad range of things to do in the nearby areas. We invite you to come out, spend your day exploring, hiking, shopping, gambling, at the many quaint mountain towns within an hour of our property, then come back to the SKOL Ranch and rest your weary head.
Our guest house is a converted 16 x 24 utility shed, which sits about 25 feet from the main house. 350 square feet of comfortable living space with a sleeping area, sitting area, fireplace, television, desk and coffee maker. Bathroom facilities and showers are available in the main house. You’ll also have full access to our house including use of the kitchen, living space, and Viking Loft. Click on the picture of the shed for more information about the accommodations.
Obviously, we also have a disc golf course on our property which you’ll have access to during your stay, so bring your discs! We also have the baskets lighted for after dark glow rounds if you’re brave! Click on the photo of basket 2 to the left for more information about the disc golf course.
Despite living in a remote area we are in the mecca of Colorado adventure and entertainment. Within less than an hour drive from our property you’ll find a diverse range of activities. Regardless of how you want to spend your time while you’re here, we’ll help you find it. Click on the photo of Gary at Paradise Cove to learn more about all the amazing places you’ll find nearby.
If there’s something in particular you’re looking to do, but aren’t sure how to go about it, just ask, we’ll help the best way we can. If you’d like to go hiking, wheeling, or have another Colorado experience and want a local to guide you, we have a few packages you may be interested in! Just check out our experiences page by clicking the photo of the Jeep to the left!
